Henn na Hotel Kanazawa Korimbo

I’ve stayed in Henn na Hotels before near the airport, and was expecting comfortable beds and facilities, clean and fresh, good value - but slow and slightly impersonal service. Was pleasantly surprised at the Kanazawa hotel to have super friendly & generous support (special thank you to one staff member who was there in the evening and morning of our booking, didn’t catch her name, European, elegant, long hair). Bicycles are a great addition, and unlike many other places, they actually have enough bicycles for their guests. Liked it so much I decided to stay another night in Kanazawa. Also, I forgot to warn my friend about the dinosaur robots. She nearly broke down with hysterical laughter in the lobby. Be prepared!

I liked the location of the hotel -walking distance to the park and minutes to shops. The room was bigger than average with good basic amenities like a fridge and kettle. I loved being able to turn off the air con in my room. I prefer a cooler temp than the baseline for winter heating.

Amusing having the dinosaurs greet you at reception. We checked in fine using the automated system, but staff were on hand to help those who struggled. The room was large and comfortable. Two large single beds that we pushed together. It was quiet and well equipped. Location was great, with a convenience store across the road, and walkable to nearby sights. It was also on a central bus line to reach the station and other sights further out.
